The vent is located in the back of the unit. Remember to leave sufficient space between the vent and any adjacent surface that may block air flow such as a wall. Can I make more than one type of food at once?
Absolutely! The Power AirFryer 360 XL™ is designed with five shelves for the included racks.

Do I need to preheat the Emeril Lagasse® Power AirFryer 360 XL™ before cooking?
Preheat is automatically built into all cooking settings (except toast, bagel, and dehydrate), so using this feature depends on preference. A preheat icon will indicate the unit is in “preheat” mode. The unit will beep when preheated, indicating that food should be placed in the unit.

You can place your food inside the oven at any time. The preheat feature will not allow the timer to begin counting down until the desired temperature has been reached.

Recipes that have a long, slow cooking time, such as a roast, will not require a preheated oven, but those recipes that have a quicker cooking time and higher oven temperature generally need a preheated oven.

Baking typically asks for the oven to be preheated to the desired temperature of the recipe because you want the oven hot when the item is going in. If the oven has not reached the correct temperature before doughs or batters are placed in the oven, they will not rise correctly. If you add the preheat time and cooking time together, you will overcook most recipes, especially bakery items and short cooking times. Under these conditions, you should monitor the oven and watch/listen for it to ring and signal it has come to the set temperature before adding bakery items.

When should I use the air fry and fan buttons?
The air fry button should be used when air frying is being used with recipes that would traditionally be deep-fried, such as French fries, fried chicken.

The fan button should be used with other features if you need quicker and more even cooking.

The fan button can be turned off when baking delicate items, such as angel food cakes and souffles, which might be prevented from rising correctly by the cyclonic air.

The fan button can dry out delicate recipes that don’t have much moisture in them.

What are the weight limits of the accessories for the standard and XL models?
Standard Unit:

  • Pizza Rack: 12 lb
  • Crisper Tray: 10 lb
  • Rotisserie Spit: 4 lb

XL Unit:

  • Pizza Rack: 16 lb
  • Crisper Tray: 12 lb
  • Rotisserie Spit: 8 lb

Why is liquid dripping out the back of the unit?
When cooking high moisture and/or high-fat food, there can be scenarios where liquid can be pulled into the body of the unit by the fan and then drip from the unit. Place a rimmed baking pan or aluminum foil under the area to catch any drips.
